Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components
An upgrade item is an item that can make certain Pokemon develop. The Upgrade can be obtained by spinning a photo disc and is sometimes offered as a reward in Pokemon GO events.

Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, armors, weapons and gathering tools in order to increase attributes or other bonuses when the equipment is being used. Some upgrade item s have special effects that appear when they are used. Upgrade components can be acquired through crafting, purchased from karma merchants or exchanged with other players on the Trading Post, taken from equipment, or as rewards in games.
There are different upgrade components, each of which comes with distinct bonuses. Universal upgrades, such as gems and inscriptions can be used with any kind of equipment, and offer lower bonuses than other kinds of upgrade components. Infusions are able to be used on non-amulet and legendary ascended items, while enhancements are able to be used on back equipment that has been ascended. Injecting an upgrade component will cause the destruction of the previous upgrade. The only exceptions are glyphs which can only be used into gathering tools, and enchantments. item upgrades can be removed and then reinserted.
Insignias, enchantments, and prefix/suffix upgrades will appear in the hover display of the item while they are added to the equipment's name (e.g. the word Radiant Insignia could change the name to Radiant Tyrian Armor). The number of upgrades that are added to an equipment piece will be visible in the tooltip of the item.
Glyphs
Glyphs are special characters that can be added into an OpenType font to add decorative or functional elements, like ligatures and ornaments, fractions and swashes, registered trademark symbols and ellipses. The Glyphs Panel allows you to insert and view these special characters, along with common symbols like em and en dashes, as well being registered trademark symbols.
Each Glyph provides an initial boost in stats for the character. The glyph can also have up to four secondary stats that will affect its radius on your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats are a percentage increase that is multiplied when other bonuses have been applied, with the exception of Speed Glyphs which directly increase the hero's speed.
The Glyphs in your inventory can be activated by selecting them, and then clicking the "enchant" button. This will display a new window with the Glyphs you have available that can be applied to the item you have selected. You only need to apply the appropriate Glyph to the item you have selected. Each weapon or armor piece comes with a distinct collection of Glyphs.
Glyphs can be leveled up through the use of Nightmare Dungeons or completing Tree of Whisper quests. The more challenging the dungeon, the greater the amount of Glyph experience you'll earn. Once a Glyph is at level 15, it is upgradeable at the Glyph Upgrade Altar. The upgrade of a Glyph increases its radius on the Paragon Board by one node every 15 levels.
After a Glyph reaches the desired level you can activate it. Select it, then click the "enchant button". The resulting Glyph will give its stated benefit, and will also boost other nodes within its range on the Paragon Board. It is important to place glyphs in the best locations to benefit your game, which is why it's recommended to prioritize Magic Glyphs early on. Rare glyphs could also provide double bonuses if certain conditions can be met.
If you're having trouble finding a specific glyph, click the cycle widget on the Glyphs panel to display the panel in a variety of perspectives. Each of these views displays the Glyphs using a different font. You can narrow down the list of glyphs further by choosing an option beneath "Entire Font": for instance, punctuation shows only punctuation glyphs, while Math Symbols narrows the choice to mathematical symbols.
Rerolling
Rerolling involves establishing an account with a brand new username in order to increase your chances of obtaining the character or weapon you'd like. This can assist you in gaining more experience or to obtain more loot, for example, a better weapon for your character. Sets

For example upgrading Guillaume's Face Helm to Elite Spired Helm boosts the defense from 217 to 321 while also reducing the strength requirement and level requirement to a more manageable range.
It's important to remember that not all items in an assortment can be upgraded. Some sets, like the FB Sorc spec Whistan's shield and Naj's puzzler staff, are already exceptional in their own right and don't require any upgrades. On the other hand, certain items that are BiS and have a lot of use (like Goldwrap) may benefit from being upgraded to improve their stats even more. It may be worth it to upgrade these items.
